Most bad sessions aren't a fitness problem.

They're a fueling problem.

2fuel looks at your session and calculates what to eat before, during and after it. Eat for the training you are about to do.

Three moments when food decides the day

You know them. 2fuel is built for exactly these.

“I’ve signed up. Now it has to go right.”

Your race is in the plan

Add your race and 2fuel works towards it, carb loading in the days before included.

“I bonked. Or my stomach gave up.”

Train your gut like your legs

Carbs per hour for every session, and the app tracks how much your gut handles.

“Hard day, or two sessions. What do I eat when?”

Every day planned around training

Before, during and after. Each meal moment gets its own numbers.

A real day in the app

Your day, built around your training.

Two hours on the bike at 240 W: 50 g of carbs and 500 ml per hour. Breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner count with it. 4,701 kcal for this Friday.

2fuel today view: 4,701 kcal, cycling 2 h at 240 W with 50 g of carbs per hour, and the meal moments around it

AI coach or sports dietitian. You choose.

The model calculates what your training costs. Who turns that into meals is up to you: an AI coach that plans around your habits and allergies, or a sports dietitian you pick yourself.

Chat screen with a switch between Dirk, the AI assistant, and Robbe, the coach
Chat with AI coach Dirk: “Dirk is planning your day”

In the chat, you switch between the AI and your coach.

Rory answers straight away. Your sports dietitian sits one tap further, in the same conversation.

Sports dietitian

A person who knows your sport

  • Your plan set by a qualified professional
  • Weekly check-ins and action points

Everything around it

Your training comes in on its own. Your recipes go in with your camera.

Connections: TrainingPeaks, Intervals.icu, Polar, Wahoo and Apple Health

Your training arrives by itself

TrainingPeaks, Intervals.icu, Polar, Wahoo and Apple Health. Health Connect on Android.

New recipe screen with “Scan a recipe from a cookbook”

Scan your cookbook

Photograph a cookbook page and the recipe lands in the app, with the numbers worked out.

Recipes screen: 449 recipes, recipes of the week, favorites, your own recipes and the grocery list

449 recipes, sorted by moment

Recipes of the week, your favorites and your own recipes. Filter by breakfast, pre-training or lunch.

The AI picks the meals. The model sets the numbers.

Kcal, carbs per hour and protein come from your session: sport, duration, intensity. The AI coach chooses dishes that cover those numbers and explains why. It does not invent your needs, and it cannot move them.

Questions about coaching

Does 2fuel have an AI coach?

Yes. The AI coach does an intake on your sport, goals, diet and allergies, plans your meals around your training and habits, swaps meals when you ask, and answers nutrition questions. The nutritional numbers come from the model, not from the AI.

How does 2fuel handle allergies and diets?

You set your diet (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free or halal) and your allergies in the intake. Meals with those ingredients never appear in your plan. That is checked on our server for every plan, not left to the AI.

Can I swap a meal I do not like?

Yes. Replace it from your favorites, recent meals or the recipe library, and the portion is scaled to that meal moment. Or ask the AI coach for something else, something lighter or a bigger portion.

Can I work with a real sports dietitian instead?

Yes. Choose a sports dietitian on 2-fuel.com/discover. They invite you into the app and set your plan. If you train with a coach, your access runs through them.

Does the AI coach replace a dietitian?

No. It handles the daily planning and questions. A sports dietitian brings judgement, context and accountability that software does not. 2fuel is built by sports dietitians to support that work.

All questions
What is 2fuel?

2fuel works out what your training costs in energy and turns it into meals. You give it a session (sport, duration, intensity), it calculates kcal, carbs per hour and protein, and your day is planned around that. It is an app for athletes and a portal for coaches and teams.

What is the best nutrition app for endurance athletes?

It depends on what you need. 2fuel calculates your needs from each training session, plans meals around your habits and allergies with an AI coach, lets you work with a real sports dietitian in the same app, and runs in seven languages including Dutch. Hexis and The Athlete’s FoodCoach are the other apps built for the same job. We compare all three, with sources, at 2-fuel.com/compare.

What is the AI coach?

Rory is the AI coach in the app (in other languages he has another name). He starts with an intake about your sport, goal, diet and allergies, plans your meals around your training and what you like to eat, and answers nutrition questions. You confirm every change he suggests.

Does it take my allergies and diet into account?

Yes. You set your diet (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free or halal) and your allergies when you start. Meals with those ingredients never appear in your plan. Our server checks that for every plan, so it does not depend on the AI.

Has 2fuel been scientifically validated?

Not yet, and we will not claim it before it is. We have worked with the Living Lab of Hogeschool Rotterdam for a year and a half. On 20 November 2026, five specialists test our algorithm and AI coach, independently of us. We will publish the outcome here, whatever it is.

Who built 2fuel?

Sports dietitians Dirk Verbraak and Mathias Fluit, who both have WorldTour experience, and developer Robbe Willemsens, who trains at a high level himself. x2o and VolkerWessels use 2fuel.

Training is the easy part to plan.

Eating isn't.
